LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THOR AND LOKI AND HOW EVERYBODY MISUNDERSTANDS VIKING SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS THEREFORE THERE IS NO RACISM IN SOUL EATER
It was from the first time that I posted about Enrique and gave a link to the Fed-Ex Arrow post on my livejournal.
And hoshi_ryo responded with: “Reading them reminds me of the concept of ‘projection’ in psychology — the guy who, cheating on his lover, accuses his faithful lover of cheating is probably the canonical example — and of an essay about Loki, Thor, and Thor’s hammer. Both of them. Unfortunately, it also made anybody who knows what the normal sleeping arrangements in Viking-period halls were laugh. (It was warm, and trying to start an orgy got sleepy people angry at you, and besides, it also meant everybody in the hall knew what you tried to do because they’re all in the room with you except maybe your host and his wife.)”
That was the whole comment. I’m not omitting anything from that quote. And the whole thread just went downhill from there.
I think she was going for a “sometimes a cigar is just a cigar” analogy but it came across so garbled it was just like whaaaaaaat
